I have been wanting to make one of these for years.  We reuse all our plastic grocery bags.  They are great for doggie poo bags, a quick lunch sack, a garbage bag and we use them to scoop the clumping cat litter into.


Crochet hooks sizes H, 2 elastic hair ties.

With Color A chain 20.  Sl st in first ch, ch 1 working around hair band, sc in each chain around, join with sl st in beg sc. ch 1.

Rnd 1: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
 Rnd 2: Work 2 sc's in first stitch * work 1 sc in next stitch, work 2 sc in next stitch,rep from * aorund join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
Rnd 3: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
 Rnd 4: Work 2 sc's in first sc * work 1 sc in each  of the next  2 sc's, work 2 sc in next  1 stitch,rep from * aorund join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
Rnd 5: Work 1 sc's in first stitch and each around, join with sl in beg sc. Change to Color B, ch 1.
 Rnd 6: Work 2 sc's in first stitch * work 1 sc in each  of the next  3 stitches, work 2 sc in next  1 stitch,rep from * aorund join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
Rnd 7: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
 Rnd 8: Work 2 sc's in first sc * work 1 sc in each  of the next  4 sc's, work 2 sc in next  1 sc,rep from * aorund join with sl in beg sc. ch 1.
Rnd 9: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color A. ch 1.
 Rnd 10 - 15: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color B. ch 1.
Rnd 15 - 20: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color A. ch 1.
Rnd 20 -25: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color B. ch 1.
Rnd 25 - 30: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color A. ch 1.
Rnd 30 -35: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color B. ch 1.
Rnd 35 - 40: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color A. ch 1.
Rnd 40 -45: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color B. ch 1.
 Rnd 55 - 60: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color A. ch 1.
Rnd 60 -64: Work 1 sc's in first stitch and each around, join with sl in beg sc. 
Rnd 64:  Work 1 sc in first sc, * decrease over next 2 sc'cs, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, rep * around, join with sl in beg sc change to Color B. ch 1.
 Rnd 65: Work 1 sc's in first stitch and each around, join with sl in beg sc.
Rnd 66:  Work 1 sc in first sc, * dec over next 2 sc'cs, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, rep * around, join with sl in beg sc. ch 1
Rnd 67: Work 1 sc's in first stitch and each around, join with sl in beg sc.
Rnd 68:  Work 1 sc in first sc, * dec over next 2 sc'cs, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, rep * around, join with sl in beg sc. ch 1
Rnd 69: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc. change to Color A. ch 1.
Rnd 70 - 74: Work 1 sc's in first sc and each around, join with sl in beg sc.
Rnd 75: Working around hair band, sc in each chain around, join with sl st in beg sc. Do not fasten off.


Handle: Row 1 : Ch 1, 1 sc in the next 4 sc's, turn, ch 1.
Row 2 - 24: 1 sc in the next 4 sc's, turn, ch 1.
Sl st Row 24 to the base of Row 1, fasten off.

If you try this pattern let me know of any corrects that need to be made or if you have trouble following it.  Remember it is my second try, writing a pattern.
